Toureen are proud to have been appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver Shell Fulham, a state of the art Electric Vehicle Charge Hub. As Shell transition from an Oil company to an Energy company the project is the first time Shell have replaced an existing service station with high speed electric vehicle chargers in order to meet the changing demands of its customers.
The project scope included for the removal of the existing fuel tanks and all hydrocarbon fuels related infrastructure and in their place two substations were built within the building envelope to power a bank of Electric Fast Chargers. The architectural features of the project included the construction of two spectacular timber glulam canopies fitted with solar panels, along with a newly formatted sales kiosk housing a Little Waitrose convenience store & Costa Coffee outlet.
Due to detailed planning and experience Toureen’s in-house delivery teams ensured that the project was delivered to the highest standards, on time and sustainably, despite multiple logistical challenges and an ambitious construction programme.
